Newfoundland Participant GPS Files

NOTE: Our daily handouts will be our official routing materials. These files are for testing only!

Currently both distances and information cues from these files do not completely match our spreadsheets and daily hand-outs .  These files are for development purposes only. Your feedback is important to enable our GPS files reach the level of our daily printed hand-outs .

Here are our current issues with these files:

*All our information has been tracked and updated over many years on excel spread sheets.  Generated GPS information does not have the details and helpful information that written cues have.  It will take a long time to put the spread-sheet info accurately onto on-line mapping tracking.

*Information not crucial to routing currently has to be labeled as “Generic” or “1st Category”. We do not like this.

*We find the on-line GPS systems are hard to enter route starting and ending point details. These do not seem to be able to be edited and left as “start” and “end”

*Any routing through paths, driveways, etc., not part of the road system we are not able as yet to put routing descriptions on.
