There are two pieces to Route #13. The section north of Hunters River can be
quite busy and we can't suggest it, there can be just too many cars between Prince Edward Island National Park and Route 2. NOTE: This northern section is nothing like the southern part and just gets a .
The section we want to let you know about is the southern section. This is a picture perfect road. In fact, the vales along the way are where many of the island's immaculate farm houses and barns come for calendars. After cycling this road you will never allow anyone to tell you Prince Edward Island is flat. This road crosses what some locals call the "PEI Alps". There is even a tiny downhill ski run. At Hopedale, you are just a short distance away from the Island's highest point at Springton. The hills are rolling, never going over 100 meters (300 feet) climb at one time, but still a busy, but rewarding day for any biker.
