Here are the bicycle events for 2013 for Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, and Quebec. We had a great time this past summer. Tour Meeting & Reception: Amherst, Nova Scotia Tuesday, July 23, 7:00 PM Pizza Delight 4 Robert Angus Drive, Centennial Mall Amherst, Nova Scotia. We will be in the group room. We will be providing pizza and salad.Join us for our pre-tour Reception. Meet the participants, learn how the tour works, get your baggage tags, ask tons of questions.

Tour Start: Amherst, Nova Scotia – We will be starting at the Super 8 Motel Wednesday, July 24 9 am AT. The printed materials we will be sending you will have the official details. We are not able to go to hotels around town picking up gear. We will, however, be on hand at the tour start area starting at 8 AM. If you send any gear ahead by cab or other means and ride to the tour start we will unload it and watch over it for you until you arrive.

Parking: Amherst, Nova Scotia Super 8 Motel is offering $40 for the week per car

Bicycle Rental Suggestions: There are no rentals in Amherst. Consolvo Bicycles in Moncton, New Brunswick and In Halifax Pedal and Sea and Freewheeling have rentals

Remember Newfoundland is on Newfoundland Time, 1/2 hour later than Atlantic Time, 1 1/2 hours later than Eastern! We suggest you have your evening meal during our meeting as it is one of the best places in town. There is a lot more than pizza.Note: Those who are not in Deer Lake the night before to attend the meeting and reception to review tour guidelines, baggage tagging, tour communication system, important safety information, etc., will have to wait on ride start day until the checked-in riders have departed.

The town is located near where the Canso Causeway connects Cape Breton to Nova Scotia’s mainland.Meet the participants, learn how the tour works, get your baggage tags, ask tons of questions. Remember Nova Scotia is on Atlantic Time, one hour later than Eastern. We will not know until meeting time if we have a separate room or are in a dining room. Our meeting will be short so you will be able to dine afterward if we are not in a dining room.Note: Those who are not in Port Hawkesbury the night before to attend the meeting and review tour guidelines, baggage tagging, tour communication system, important safety information, etc., will have to wait on ride start day until the checked-in riders have departed.
