French Mountain

French and MacKenzie Mountains are twins. Once reachable only by boat, Pleasant Bay is now connected to the rest of Nova Scotia by a road across the plateau between the two peaks. This interesting area of Cape Breton Highlands National Park is home to most of its moose. Coming down French, we view out over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
