Tour
9 Blomidon
Distance: 71 km (44 miles)
Starting Point:
Wolfville; Kentville
Region: Annapolis
Valley
Terrain: Two hills (one is huge)
Blomidon dominates the landscape. Dramatically rising out of the
Bay of Fundy, it stands as the focal
point from all directions. From within
the Annapolis Valley, from along the
coast of the Noel Shore, and from across
the Bay of Fundy along the Cobequid
Hills- all look up to this small, but
very beautiful mountain.
The Nova Scotia Bicycle Book suggests two days for you to fully explore this wonderful
corner. Bring a book and a lunch and
stay here on the mountain top as long
as you can. Wise visitors will arrange
an overnight stay for Tour 9 at the
campground, so that they can watch the
spectacular sunrise from this lofty
vantage point.
