Tour
16 Mahone Bay
Distance: 44 or 29 km (29 or 18 miles)
Starting Point:
Lunenburg; Mahone Bay
Region: South
Shore
Terrain: Rolling Hills
You could live
for a day on each of the reported 325
islands of Mahone Bay. Your stay on
a few of them would not leave you much
room perhaps, but this idea gives you
an indication why for centuries this
bay has attracted everything leisure
craft.
This tour of the Nova Scotia Bicycle Book follows the flat to rolling lanes twist along the shore
from the attractive port of Lunenburg
into Mahone Bay. The town at the end
of the bay with the same name, has tree
lined streets and a pleasant atmosphere,
making for a good break on a day of
leisurely cycling.
