Beaches...lakes...coastal marshes...fishing villages...there is much of interest to explore, just outside the Halifax-Dartmouth area. Here is a route encompassing the coastline outward from just outside the suburbs. It runs through Lawrencetown to Chezzetcook, and return.

This ride can be used in connection with Tour 29 of the Nova Scotia Bicycle Book , along the Eastern Shore (Marine Drive). The ride will not start in the city itself, to avoid traffic, but the book provides directions to there from the city.
