2017 Route Verte Tour at 25 riders

Pinned

I’ve signed up for the Newfoundland Bicycle Tour from June 26-July 7. I’d appreciate if someone with experience can advise me where I should have my bike shipped to – to Halifax to pick up and put on the ferry to Newfoundland, or directly to Newfoundland? If the latter, is there an address where I can have it shipped to?

Thank you.

I have signed up for the Newfoundland tour in June, and would like to know whether the tour is used to using service companies that provide tents and put them up at each site, or whether we have to bring our own tents and set them up at each stop. I’ve done it both ways and would like to know if there is an option.
Thank you.

The Newfoundland Tour is far away from the big cities and megatours. The numbers on the tour do nto support someone travelling so many kilometers for such a service.

Also we find people have their own preferences where to set up camp. Some want close to washrooms, otherts furthert away. Some liek woods or the grass, close to other tents, or futher away.

Our tours are friendly and people chat as they put them up, it lessens the hassle.

OK, Gary, much obliged, thank you. I’ll explore renting a small tent.

hello. i will be joining the nova scotia tour this year, and wonder if anyone will bring musical instruments along. after the tour i will travel around p.e.i. any suggestions regarding local musical events and nature experiences on p.e.i. would be much appreciated. my last trip to p.e.i. focused on camping and swimming the north shore – this year i’ll have my bike with me… the 6-hour seal watching sea kayak tour sounds like fun…

Finally got one of these several years ago. A dream to ride.

Is this the PX 10?

Yes, it’s a PX-10. I rode UO-8 and AO-8 in college. Had the UO-8 for many years; always wanted a PX-10. It is upgraded to a three wheel crank with 7 gears on the back. It rides like a dream — love the sound and hum when coasting down a long hill with the wind in my ears.
