Atlantic Canada Bicycle Rally – 1987 New Glasgow

Our 1st ever Atlantic Canada Bicycle Rally was held in the Nova Scotia town of New Glasgow.  It was selected as it was the place event creator Gary Conrod reached on his first century ride (100 miles in a day).  The first cycling festival was an exercise in trail and error.  It was all out, with many rides per day, bicycle field day, all meals provided, special guests, head table, a bagpiper, and a lobster banquet. Over one hundred participant showed up, some from far removed places in the USA.
