The trip was a joy in many ways. Very challenging for me, but finding that I could do it was exhilarating. I’ve returned in a better place with myself and the world. Ill detour for the Newfoundland tour next year.
The first two days were long and uphill, and after that it was mild riding, even the 80 mile day in the rain. We chose to do a combination of camping and B&Bs, which seemed to be a nice way to go, although there were many who camped each night. Getting food became easier as the trip went on, and cooperative cooking of meals increased as the trip developed. All of this adding richly to the experience. We had a great time and would certainly go an another Atlantic Canada Cycling Ride again.
We loved the trip. It’s a real privilege to be able to see the area, travel with a group of like-minded cyclists in a thoughtfully designed tour.
Wow, did I have a great time on this tour, my first visit to Canada. I definitely need a warmer sleeping bag if I come back! Ha ha. Your organization of the trip blew me away, from sags to campsite, accommodating some special needs folks, the handy grocery pickups, the gorgeous last 2 campsites, and that amazing truck layout! I have never camped more than overnight, so this was a huge adventure for me. I hope you offer this tour again. Staying put for 2 nights was a godsend. The last day was my absolute favorite route!
