Our Tour Participants Are The Greatest
Here are more comments you have sent our way. Thanks for touring with us!

It was a grand time. Loved the mix of trails and over the hills rides. Having to break-down and move camp only every other day was a real nice feature of this tour. Spectacular feeling on the road and views. Description of the trip should not lead participants to think it is all bike paths. I love paths because am very traffic adverse, but the better scenery is often the backroads over hill and dale rather than along old rail lines.

Thank you so very, very much for all your help + for organizing trips like this.

Searching travel via the internet is a hit and miss opportunity since you do not know how much is hype versus reality. I chose ACC because it seemed to offer service without expensive luxuries. I am glad that I did since I think that the group was about the best and most cohesive group I ever traveled with.

This Newfoundland trip was really fabulous. That is all people talked about on the way back. I look forward to more trips with you, try to bring some of my biking compatriots with me, too.

I consider your event the best bicycling tour experience I’ve ever had.

Meeting new people from all over, coming together, making new friends and bicycling. It can’t get any better than that.

Campgrounds were good and the food system — which we were hesitant about before the trip, not sure how well it would work — actually was great. Great setup with the dishes and cooking tools, crate and cooler system, and daily grocery pickups.

Good variety with mix of long rides, short rides and off days. Got good value for the cost of the tour.

Thank you so much for making our trip so great!

I’m incredibly impressed with the website and information you provided packing list baggage info shuttles and suggestions for places to stay. So HELPFUL, needing something to look forward to and this is just the ticket–glad you kept me on your email list!

Thanks for a great tour.

To some people it was a challenge and they did fine, we actually added about 15 miles (24 km) /day (but we bike a lot).

Im still glowing and telling great stories about the Newfoundland trip … especially the wonderous head wind and rain on that fateful day past the airport! Our photos are great as well.
(We) had a great time – thanks for making it possible!

Thanks for everything. I will never forget.

I just wanted to say thank you in general for a wow tour. I thought you id a fine job of working hard to meet our needs and answer our unending questions.

Very helpful crew, nice quiet roads, interesting things to see along the way, and an ideal size of the group. I wish the maps were more detailed so we could actually follow them on the road.
I hope to join another tour next year.

We know what to expect from the previous six tours. Tour went as billed. ROUTE WAS EXCELLENT !! (Liked) morning coffee, common plates, cutlery, stoves, etc — go at our own pace, loose schedule, support, including grocery stops, carry tired riders to end of ride, rescuing lost riders, meeting new people and old acquaintances. Also, bicycle maintenance!

A professional tour organizer for over thirty years, that not only talks the talk but bikes the bike. I’ve been on more than a dozen of Gary’s tours over the last 25 years and all were excellent.

I did a lot of online research to do a tour on Prince Edward Island. Your tour was the most reasonably priced tour I could find. That tour was exceptional – there were 7 of us from Virginia that came up together to do the tour in 2005 and it was a wonderful experience for all of us. Since then I’ve returned several times to do other tours with ACC, all of them very well organized and I have many wonderful memories of touring all over the Maritimes.

I enjoyed the other people on this trip, the scenery, the choice of campgrounds and appreciated the coordination of all the logistics – ferries, etc – that were required for a trip such as this one.

I think Gary has done more for cycling than anyone in Eastern Canada. The service you provide is a great boost to the cycling community. You guys are the best.

I did not know anyone when arriving, but felt like a friend immediately.

Your chosen routes clearly had scenic and low-traffic advantages.

The Newfoundland trip has a little bit of everything – hills, flats, riding along the ocean, riding in Tundra and some good hiking. Along the way we were able to catch a glimpse at whales, and even saw icebergs! Newfoundland is a remote area of Canada, and you get to experience great open spaces;, which also means limited services to some extent. There is never a day without something along the way, but you definitely realize that you are removed from the congested city life. The trip is well planned out, and the cycling nicely spread out over the ten days. The longest day of the trip is not overly challenging – unless Mother Nature has her way. Last year we ended up having our worst weather day on our longest day, which meant colder weather than expected, and some tough head winds – but it is all part of experiencing Newfoundland. The weather can change quickly, and we saw that first hand. I really enjoyed the trip, and would highly recommend it.

I was very happy with the tour and felt it was well done. It was an amazing trip.

We are all SO glad ACC is still alive and well and ready for future adventures.

Logistics are pretty strong. We like the meet-and-greet, pot luck etc. We like the camping and the flexibility to book a room for some of the trip. Strong pit crew. Grocery stops, coffee. Really like that you carry dishes, silverware, cups, pots, etc. We appreciate your research on notable things on the tour.

You run a great adventure tour, and I thank you again. See you next summer.

I arrived back with a sore bum and a tired body but I was ecstatic with the ride I’d done. Even in less-than-ideal weather I would do it again in a heart beat. This tour was impressive, especially considering the price. I felt taken care of along the way. I would recommend it to any first year rider who is looking for a great challenge and awesome excuse to take a road trip out East!

You guys rock!

I had a great time. The route planning was fantastic and ensured we were always on safe roads with great views. Also made sure we saw the best of Nova Scotia.

We participated in the PEI tour five years ago. Had such a good time that we talked [friends] into joining us this time. We appreciated all the extras that were a part of this trip.

Sadly, it is time to say goodbye to Newfoundland and its severe, rugged and unromantic beauty. Feel very fortunate to have shared this unforgettable adventure with the most amazing group of people.

Thanks so much for great biking experience – we will never forget it!

Appreciated the sense of camaraderie amongst cyclists. …all for one …one for all kind of spirit. That attracts me. Loved it. Thanks for the memories!

I consider your event the best bicycling tour experience I’ve ever had. Let’s hope it continues to prosper and be held for a long time.

I had expectations and it worked out wonderfully. I got to ride without having to be with any other riders. I was able to just enjoy it all without worry.

Ann and I really enjoyed the experience sharing this trip with the group…..a lifetime of memories for sure!

I liked the relaxed attitude and lack of rules and structure. This made the trip very relaxing. Overall the positives far outway anything negative or critical I could say. Well done! It was fun.

I did a circuit of Cape Breton Island with this company. One of the most memorable trips of my life.

Good cycling routes that I wouldn’t necessarily be able to find myself, information about what there is to see along the way, and nice places to stay at night, as well as en route support.
It was everything I had hoped it would be.

Liked freedeom to ride at our own pace and schedule and eating on our own without commitments.

Thanks again to you and your staff for a most memorable experience. I think you should charge more for all the effort you put in!

I highly recommend this trip. The camping facilities were great (I did stay in a B&B at Crows Head). Labrador was magnificent. I liked the idea of being able to hike, cycle and perhaps sea kayak all in one day. I would recommend bringing along some water proofed booties for cycling as we did have rain one evening. Also I recommend taking along warm clothes as it can get quite cool especially as you travel farther north. A good tent is essential too in case you get rain.
I met a great bunch of people on the Tour. Gary and his staff did a terrific job. It is a trip I could easily repeat and I highly recommend it as a place you must see.

I loved the Newfoundland trip last year, and would like to return this year but can’t decide between PEI West, Nova Scotia East or Cape Breton. Hoping to get on one of your amazing adventures again this summer.

I truly hope everyone had as great a time as I did. It was by far the most fun I had on a bike tour.

Thanks for my second unforgettably great tour with ACC, I’m already looking forward to the next one! Take care of yourselves at
- least
as well as you took care of us! Thanks!

Very personal, very well done, good group spirit.

Good rides, good roads, good company.

Thank you for leading an excellent cycling trip. It certainly met all my expectations. Hope to see you on another trip.

I remember the Cape Breton tour clearly. It was fantastic. I hope to do another tour with ACC one day… sooner than later.

I’m looking forward to next year already. You did a wonderful job!

A great trip. Thank You!

My first ride, Baja, Mexico was done in the 80’s. The second goal was the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. I rode this in July. The opportunity was Gary Conrod, (www.atlanticcanadacycling.com) who conducted a tour of the trail as part of his schedule of rides.
Gary runs well organized but hands off tours. He trucks your luggage, arranges for campgrounds, and supplies a simple route sheet. The rest is up to you. The cue sheet gives one word directions (left, right) at local landmarks. One day he used an actual sentence… “Left, Listen! We Said Left! Don’t Go Up The Hill”. You get the idea. A unique feature of the cue sheet is that it locates the first and last restaurant of the day and a likely stop for lunch (if they are open). And for those eating in camp, the location of a store where you may put your bagged purchase in a bin provided. Gary will then pick it up and bring it to camp for the end of the day. Ice cream is not a good purchase.

We are a family of four who did the PEI trip last summer. Our kids were 9 and 11 when we took the trip. We had taken two two-day trips to prepare for the trip, as well as some training runs at home. The kids enjoyed themselves, especially since all the adults seemed to take them under their respective wings. We took our time along the trail, and took many breaks. We were usually the last ones to arrive at the campsite, but somebody has to be last!!

Just wanted to send you an email to thank you for organizing the Cabot Trail tour last weekend. Some of the hills were hell to climb but the scenery was quite nice. I think what was especially nice about the experience was meeting all the great people….kind of kindred spirits in adventure and health. I also really appreciated your organization of transporting tents, etc.

Newfoundland was even more beautiful and rugged than I had imagined. Every day included a new discovery and new adventure. The crew was wonderful. They were always ready to help and made me feel safe and comfortable. Great job!

You’ll have the time of your life!

You were the right combination of people to make this biking vacation enjoyable. Thanks so much.

An excellent job overall! I was very impressed with the effort that you put in as well as with the turnout for the tour. It was nice to cycle with the group after being on the road by myself!

I rode a couple of times with you on Cabot Trail trip. I still wear the ti-shirt from the trip. Maybe you remember me, I had all kinds of bicycle trouble, My front gears feel apart on the first day, my bicycle seat broke off on the second day and on the third day my front tire needed to be changed. You never asked for any extra money only the cost of the new tire. At the end of the trip I gave you $100 for all your troubles, but you deserved much more.
Thanks to you again for all the help. It was a fanatastic trip despite all my bike problems.

You should be proud of this event. Its well organized, in beautiful country, with nice people. It’s also a lot of fun.

I appreciate how well the organizers worked together. I didn’t have to worry about running out of water, nor about little particulars that might have occurred. It made for a stress-free ride.

Thank you for such a memorable vacation!! I am definitely going to do this tour again!

I really enjoyed my experience. I met some great people, saw some beautiful scenery, and pushed my limits as far as cycling goes.

You provide support at a distance. You allow riders freedom to ride and do whatever they want when they want. I very much enjoyed the whole experience, very happy that you love to do this.

Just wanted to let you know what a great time I had cycling with you in PEI. This was the first time I’d gone on an organized tour. I really liked how well you thought out the itinerary, and provided us maps so we could set our own pace and alternate the route if we liked. I found some gravel roads that put my mountain bike to good use.
I like to provide somewhat for myself, so the chance to cook and camp without having to carry all my gear solo was nice. It was easy to make friends, yet have as much time alone as we wanted.
If you ever need a local recommendation Maine, Id be glad to talk with anyone about the PEI tour. Hope I will be able to go on the Newfoundland tour someday.

I rode the whole distance on a wild moose chase.

I think it was well organized. Overall though the coffee was always ready, and the gear ready at the end of the day. The food and beer stops were easy to find. I think everyone in your organization wanted to make it successful for all the riders.

I’m on my fourth trip with ACC at the moment and I plan to do more. I like the way the tours work: riders get just what they need and are free to explore on their own. I also like the atmosphere which is relaxed and friendly. Highly recommended!

Loved the interesting diversity of people; the back-up; the camaraderie; the fireside singing and talking

Splendid weekend! Well-conceived and managed. Many Thanks.

I think the tour was very successful – and obviously word is spreading – the tour was superb. Thanks!

The [Annapolis] Valley is a terrific place to bike – great scenery and variety.

Thank you for a wonderful few days. I enjoyed myself and would come again. I spoke to several women who went along to this weekend but felt safe and comfortable doing so. So would I.

Magnificent scenery, great cycling and hiking. These will be the wonderful memories I will have from this trip. Thank you for a great tour.

Truly an inspired and inspiring tour. Great scenery, every day was different – scenery, weather, terrain. What a nice group of people I have met. Thanks and good luck.

Thank you from the pampered princesses.

Would like to offer congratulations to all who had a hand in the organization – and a big thank-you.

You were
- SO
supportive

The Gaspé tour was the best experience of cycling I had in my entire life ! Well done to all.

… an awesome support team. Everything was so well organized and I felt safe and cared for throughout the entire trip.

We really enjoyed the freedom to tour Nova Scotia seeing what we wanted and without needing deadlines.

The founder and chairman of ACC is an awesome tour operator. Thank you for your good work! The ACC trip I take every summer is truthfully the highlight of my year.

I hope to do Cape Breton this year. I very much enjoyed how well you and your guys organized PEI. Thanks!

I appreciated everyone’s efforts and how hard you all worked to make this a strong, supportive and fun event. Everyone did a great job, and I appreciated knowing you were all there. Overall, it was a challenging and immersive experience but a very rewarding one, and I am really grateful I got a chance to do it.

Mixing camping and cycling together, two of my favorite things. Much more fun than hotel hopping – plus a bakery in every little town, met some great people, made for an epic event. Thanks to Gary and crew for a unforgettable vacation, hope to see you next year.

We love your website (and) your grass roots approach and the fact that we can prepare our own meals at the campsite. Also that there may be an option for bed and breakfasts.

Obviously a great deal of time, effort, and expertise went into the preparation of these. All were interesting, useful and complete, far surpassing my expectations.

Thank you for leading a terrific cycling tour. It certainly has met all my expectations. Hope to see you on another trip

I sure enjoyed the Newfoundland ride and all the wonderful people I was privileged to ride and adventure with. I have had many great conversations and stories to share with my friends and family.
I hope your season of tours has been a good one for you. Would love to do another adventure with ACC.

My expectations were to be wowed with my first time in Canada, learn more about bikecamping, and meet lots of new folks.
The Chaudiere-Appalaches Tour landscape was stunning, the campsites were beautiful, weather perfect, 2-day camping was crucial, and the organization was amazing. All the grocery stops were fantastic. Cant wait to go on another one or even repeat this one!

Everything was well organized and the staff friendly and efficient. I really enjoyed the route. There were inland roads and coastal roads. No day was too difficult. There were excellent restaurants along the was for those of us who wanted to eat excellent Island food.

Spectacular… 3 years running! ..see you again next year!

Had a great time. Another thing off the bucket list. Loved it. Thanks so much

What a great bike ride it was! We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent with each one of you. Group dynamics were important, and it was good.

Loved cycling there. One of the best ACC trips.

This is the best tour I have ever done!
